It's a wonderful feeling isn't it?
I've got broad beans and sweetpeas growing at the moment and hoping to sow more soon. :D

Well done. I hope you've got plenty of windowsill space. Keep us posted as to how they are progressing.

I'm pants at brassicas  they either get got by cabbage white caterpillars, or I'm lacking space when they need to be transplanted out. So long as I manage a few sprout plants each year, I don't get too wound up about it.

Received the Sarah Raven book for Xmas, was a bit floaty laura ashley perfect for me, but one tip that has stayed with me is that brassicas put down a long tap root first, so am planning on sowing them in deeper pots this year, possibly kitchen roll tubes, but will pop 8+ into a big flower pot, rather than the 2 -3 inch tray I normally use.

I don't have a seed bed area so can't start them off there.

Time to get your tomatoes in soon for unheated greenhouse crops - sow around Valentines Day on the window sill ready for putting in the unheated greenhouse - which I tend to do around the first May bank holiday.

Sprouts get sown March ish. They like a bit of compost, but also like compressed soil. So feed the sprout area now, but when you plant them out, do the Splodger dance around them, ie heel them in as hard as you can. Clay soils seems to suit them best.

i have frown just about everything in pots - at one time or 'tother - and sprouts are no exception, but i would use half barrels not pots for them (if you can't dig garden) - just about anything can be grown in half barrels :D
